The expiration of the moratorium is extended
Please be informed that the Government of Hungary will extend the moratorium on loans until 30 June 2022 on a means-tested basis.
If your contract was in a payment moratorium on 30 September 2021, you could be entitled to an extended payment moratorium from 1 November 2021 available to certain priority social groups, provided you have declared your intention to maintain the payment moratorium between 1 October and 31 October 2021.
In the case of contracts where no declarations were made, the moratorium ended on 31 October 2021. Therefore, in these cases, repayments must continue.
You can make the following declaration in relation to the moratorium available between 1 November 2021 and 30 June 2022:
- If you entered the moratorium available between 1 November 2021 and 30 June 2022, you may opt out of it at any time, via another declaration. Please note that your declaration of opting out of the moratorium is final and you cannot re-enter the moratorium in this case.
