CIB Bank is financing the construction of a solar power plant

12. June 2024 - Hungary's first greenfield biopower plant investment was realized in the village of Szakoly in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in 2009. After 15 years, there will be another renewable energy investment in the settlement: a solar power plant with a DC capacity of 28.5 MWp is being built, which is planned to be handed over in the first quarter of 2025.

We provide funds to Szakoly Solar Park Kft., owned by DVM Group and Kvant Zrt., for the implementation of the solar power plant and the substation connected to it within the framework of the Reindustrialization Loan Program "Baross Gábor".

This investment is fully in line with CIB Bank's ESG-related strategic endeavor to finance green investments and our parent bank Intesa Sanpaolo's commitment to a sustainable future.
