CIB Bank is among the best performers in ESG again

It is our pleasure to announce that CIB Bank has been acknowledged as 3rd best performing company among the top Hungarian companies and the 1st among the top banks in ESG in the Green Leaders ESG Award, managed by Hungary’s leading economic magazine HVG and its ESG partner Planet Fanatics’ Network. For the second consecutive year of the award, CIB is among the best in ESG in Hungary.

On top of the overall ESG ranking recognition, CIB Bank has been awarded as the 1st best performing company on the stand alone ’S’ (social-workplace) aspect ranking and 4th best performing company (being the 1st among banks) on the stand alone ’E’ (environment) aspect ranking.

In the evaluation process, the award panel assessed all publicly available ESG indicators of the top100 Hungarian companies (including the top8 banks and top4 insurance companies), published either in non-financial statements/sustainability reports or website. Overall, the recognition is a further confirmation of the successful local execution of the Group-level ESG strategy, amplified with full support of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Subsidiary Banks Division. On behalf of CIB, the award was accepted by Alberto De Stavola, deputy CEO and ESG manager.
