Transportation and Logistics
True financial partnership requires more than just numbers – it demands a profound understanding of the sectors we serve. Recognizing this fact, Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Banks Division launched the Sector-Focused Business Meetup series this year, focusing on the current challenges and opportunities of a different industry at each session. All this multiplied in the countries where the International Banks Division is present.
The first Sector-Focused Business Meetup successfully took place in January at CIB Bank Hungary, part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Banks Division. At this inaugural event, the invited partners discussed the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in transportation and logistics, and what CIB Bank is able to contribute as a trustful partner for its customers.
During the program, Csaba Fekete (CEO of CIB Leasing) and Balázs Szabó (Head of CIB Bank Corporate Division) emphasized the strategic importance of transportation and logistics in their welcome remarks. Then, setting the scene for the event, Mariann Trippon (Head of Research and Market Analysis) provided a macroeconomic overview focusing on this specific industry.
Ferenc Lajkó, CEO of DigiLog Consulting, former CEO of Waberer’s International spoke about the current state, costs, outlook, and key growth points of road transport. After the presentations, there was an opportunity for informal discussions, where the guests could personally share experiences, ideas, and plans for the future.
Thanks to the active participation of our partners, many valuable professional connections had been made by the end of the business meetup, laying the foundation for future fruitful collaborations. We look forward to gaining insight into the challenges of other industries and helping our partners build valuable business relationships at our next Sector-Focused Business Meetup events throughout the year. By speaking different industry's languages, we don’t just provide capital; we provide the strategic foresight needed to navigate specific market challenges.
