CIB Internet Bank first login and activation

With CIB Internet Bank, you can quickly, easily and comfortably manage your bank, investment and leasing transactions from your home. In addition to the classic basic operations - such as queries, transfer orders, deposits - various banking services (eg bank cards) can be requested, bank cards can be activated and related limits can be modified. However, the balance of any mobile phone operated by any home provider may also be charged.

You can use the CIB Internet Bank service at the Internet Bank Point at CIB Banking and at your home or wherever you are using your computer and downloaded the Java Utility.

Identifiers required to use CIB24 telephone support

CIB24 identifier: The 8-digit identifier on the account statement header and the customer card that is required to identify and access the services through CIB24.
Telephony Identification Code (TAK): The 4-digit secret code created by the account holder, required for identification through the CIB24 and access to the services.

Identifiers used for CIB Internet Bank and mobilCIB *

When registering with a normal secret password

User ID: Identifies the user when entering the system (2 letters-2 numbers-2 letters).
Entry Password: Required to log into CIB Internet Bank. The password is an acronym and a space with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 14 alphanumeric characters with at least one letter and a compulsory number, which will be changed by CIB Bank for security reasons every 90 days.
Signature code word: a code word that you can use to authenticate orders when you request a service, which you can change at any time.

Token device and CIB mobileToken login

Prior to logging in to CIB Internet Bank - When using Token Authentication Method - you need to provide a 4-digit PIN code generated by you to use the Token Tool to protect your Token device.

To sign up for CIB Internet Bank, you need to provide the following identification information:

User ID: Identifies the user when entering the system. 8 digit character string that is typically the same as your GIRO, that is, the 8 digit digits of your 3 x 8 digit account number. However, it is different if you have requested and received a different identifier at the time of signing up.
CIB MobileToken / Token Generated Password: When using the Token Device Authentication Mode, the Token Device is a single-use, 6-character, numeric password.
In order to approve signatures requiring signature in CIB Internet Bank, you must enter the following ID:

CIB MobileToken / Token Generated Password: The 6-character numeric password generated by the Token tool to validate the operations (orders) requiring signature.

When using Easy Token

To sign up for CIB Internet Bank, you need to provide the following identification information:

User ID: Identifies the user when entering the system. 8 digit character string that is typically the same as your GIRO, that is, the 8 digit digits of your 3 x 8 digit account number. This is different if you have requested and received a different identifier at the time of signing up.
Entry Password: Required to log into CIB Internet Bank. The password is an alphanumeric string with no or no space, minimum 6 and maximum 14, with at least one letter and a compulsory number.
Easy Token Generated Password: Easy Token generated single-use, 6 character long numeric, password.
In order to approve signatures requiring signature in CIB Internet Bank, you must enter the following ID:

Easy Token Generated Password: The 6-character long-term, numeric password generated by the Easy Token tool needed to validate operations (orders).
 

* If you have requested CIB Internet Bank and mobilCIB, you will be logged into the systems with the same user ID. The signature code / signature code needed to confirm orders is also the same.

One-time password generator / CIB Hard Token, #withKEY token

To achieve the highest level of security, that meets the strong authentication requirements of PSD2 directive of the European Union, use a token to enter CIB Internet Bank, CIB Bank Mobile application, CIB Bank Online or eBroker, to confirm orders.

We kindly inform you that from 14th of September 2019 you cannot perform transactions requiring signature/approval with CIB MobilToken / Easy token / Token password generator device authentication method.  Only log in and enquiry functions will be available with these devices. 

What is a token?

A token is a password-generating tool (CIB Hard Token) or application (#withKEY token) provided by the Bank that generates single-use passwords for CIB Internet-based Electronic (CIB Bank Mobile application, CIB Bank Online, CIB Internet Bank) login and
for approval / electronic signature of operations requiring signatures.

What is #withKEY token?

The WithKEY Token is a PIN code-protected password generating function, which creates a single-use password. The password serves as a security code for logging in to the CIB Internet-based Electronic Services (CIB Internet Bank, mobilCIB and eBroker) and for the approval of operations that require signature. To log in and to approve operations that require signature, a different code must be used each time. WithKEY Token-based identification and the CIB Bank mobile application service are not separable.

If the User uses both the CIB Internet Bank and/or the CIB Bank Online services, logging in to the systems takes place with identical user identification. The signature code used for approving operations that require signature is the same in the case of WithKEY Token-based identification as well.

What is CIB Hard Token?

The CIB Hard Token is a physical password generator that creates a single-use password, which serves as a security code for logging in to CIB Internet-based electronic services (CIB Internet Bank, CIB Bank Online) and the eBroker service, and for the approval of operations that require signature. The CIB Hard Token can be used after entering the personal 4-digit code set by the user at the time of the request. 

The six-digit number generated by the CIB Hard Token, that is the password generated by the CIB Hard Token. To log in and to approve operations that require signature, a different code must be used each time.

Which password generator token shall I choose?

Both tokens provide you high level security for managing your finances. If the users have joined disposal right over the account CIB Hard Token, if they have independent disposal right over the account #withKEY token usage is proposed. 

What happens if you lose or steal your CIB Hard Token or the mobile device with CIB Mobile application?

If the CIB Hard Token or your mobile device is lost or stolen, you may request a temporary suspension of CIB mobileToken, and immediately block it by barring CIB 24 telephone support at the (+36 1) 4 242 242 telephone number or at any of our branch offices.

What are the minimum recommended technical conditions?

We recommend using the highest version of browsers available, which is suitable for running Javascript and creating an SSL connection. When installing the browser, update it with the JAVA virtual machine (JVM).
Java Version 1.7 or higher

How do I get the latest version of browsers?

The latest version of the browser can be downloaded free of charge from Microsoft and Mozilla's website.

Which browser settings should be made to run the system?

By default, you do not need to change the settings. If you have a problem, check the following settings:

When CIB Internet Bank is launched, a warning is displayed that the browser does not recognize the Certification Company, what should I do?

The CIB web server is certified by VeriSign Inc. Business Certificate. Clients using older than Internet Explorer 5.01 may experience a browser that does not recognize the certificate publisher. The CIB Internet Bank system can still be started.

What is the Java Applet for CIB Internet Bank?

A program running on browsers, written in a Java programming language (small application) that contains the functions of the Internet Bank.

The minimum Java version required to run: Sun Java 1.6

What is SSL (Secure Socket Layer)?

A standard secure channel whose specification is fully supported by leading browsers. Its job is to create a secure, encrypted channel between the client and the Banki web server and authenticate the source of information.

I would be using CIB Internet Bank for work. What settings should I check?

Prevents Internet banking from occurring if I own a firewall?

No, if the HTTPS (443) port is enabled at least at ibank.cib.hu.

Can more than one user use the same PC so that their data remains confidential?

Of course, closing applets can only be retrieved by re-logging. If you are saving your confirmation emails, please be careful to save it where you can access it.

Can someone access my other bank information over the Internet?

No. As long as you keep your user ID and password / Token PIN secret, others will not have access to your data. Keep it secret and make sure that no one is watching your password or Token PIN code and code. Once connected to CIB Internet Bank, it is already in a secure environment, provided by the worldwide security technologies (for details see Security).

I have Apple Mac (MacBook, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro). Can I use my Internet Bank too?

Apple's operating system is basically unsupported but most of it can be used with Safari or the latest Mozilla Firefox browser.

The installed Java version can be Java version 1.5 or higher for OS X.
OS X "Lion" requires 1.6 Java.
Printing and generating a pdf document are available on Apple Mac (MacBook, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro). Printing requires MAC OS version 10.6 or higher. Browser: Safari, Mozilla Firefox.

Internet Bank launches a "Page can not be displayed" message on the screen. What to do?

This means that the Applet could not download. Check your browser settings (see Browser Settings for details).
